Is The Paleo Diet Actually Anything New?

The world over it appears like dieters are chatting about the Paleo diet. There have been plenty of guides and articles written and videos produced and the diet has been endorsed by a lot of well known people. It is a mystery no longer and the media curiosity is extreme. Yet, when the media attention is this extreme the outcome is more often than not similar. There is always some type of controversy which is started.

A number of people claim that the diet program is only one more "fad diet" similar to many before it, and consequently will simply disappear from the headlines as fast as it appeared. But the fact is this, if you really consider it, individuals have been consuming Paleo for a long period of time now, despite the fact that they did not appreciate it.

In practice you will see that anyone who tries to consume whole foods is almost definitely eating Paleo. Keep in mind, Paleo is all about eating foods that are able to be found in nature and cutting out the foods that are processed in any way. You will find plenty of vegans and vegetarians who for other motives eat mainly paleo foods. The only actual variation is that a Paleo rich diet depends on meat as well as the whole natural foods. Meat is a good means to acquire the protein that must be part of our food regimen, and no matter what your personal beliefs are, protein is something that all of our bodies need.  All this would suggest that this diet is a great deal more than just a fad.

Of course some people find sticking to the diet easier than others and many find preparing a paleo breakfast to be a sticking point. However, help is at hand with lots of sites offering delicious breakfast recipes, many of which can be prepared quickly.
